Whippersnapper PDF Pattern

The Whippersnapper is a quick and practical hip bag designed to keep your essentials close while leaving your hands and shoulders completely free.

It’s ideal for markets, festivals, horse riding, motorbike riding or anytime you want your belongings within easy reach without carrying a traditional handbag. The fully adjustable waist and leg straps allow the Whippersnapper to be comfortably fitted to a wide range of sizes.

The pattern includes easy-to-follow written instructions accompanied by colour photographs to guide you through the sewing process.

FINISHED SIZE

• Approximately 12.5 inches (31.75 cm) wide at its widest point and 12 inches (30.5 cm) tall at its tallest point.

MATERIALS REQUIRED

• 50 cm × width of fabric (WOF) exterior fabric
• 25 cm (9 inches) × WOF lining fabric
• 10 cm × WOF vinyl
• 35 cm heavy iron-on interfacing for the main body
• 25 cm medium woven iron-on interfacing
  
• One 20 cm (8 inch) zipper — a size #5 zipper with one zipper pull is recommended
• Two sets of press studs, small magnetic snaps or KAM snaps
• Four 25 mm (1 inch) swivel clips
• Four 12 mm (½ inch) grommets or eyelets
• Two 25 mm (1 inch) strap adjusters
