Dingo PDF Sewing Pattern

The Dingo is a striking raw-edge bag that’s fun to sew and surprisingly straightforward to construct.

Using a raw-edge construction method, the pieces are carefully aligned and stitched together without traditional seam finishing. This creates a clean, modern look while keeping the construction approachable.

IMPORTANT FABRIC REQUIREMENT

The exterior of the Dingo must be made using a non-fraying material such as vinyl, cork or leather. Traditional woven fabrics are not suitable for the raw-edge sections of this design.

MATERIALS REQUIRED

• Two ½ inch (12 mm) swivel clips
• Two ⅝ inch (15 mm) D-rings—larger D-rings may be substituted
• One zipper pull
• Two metal snaps or small magnetic snaps
• 9.5 inches (24 cm) of zipper tape
• One piece of accent vinyl measuring 11 × 10 inches (27.9 × 25.4 cm)
• One piece of exterior vinyl measuring 40 × 10 inches (101.6 × 25.4 cm)
• One piece of lining fabric measuring 22 × 15 inches (55.9 × 38.1 cm)—waterproof canvas is recommended
• Double-sided tape, preferably ¼ inch (6 mm) wide

The same vinyl may be used for both the exterior and accent pieces if preferred.
